I am a structural neutral, ingredient purist so I would not consider a hotdog a sandwich.

A sandwich is a sandwich, A hot dog is called a hot dog for a reason. It is what you make it, If you call it a sandwich it's a sandwich other wise it's a hot dog. I call it a hot dog, You can call it a sandwich if that's what you consider it. Therefor i cannot choose either options.

As a full-blown purist, both in structure and ingredients, I condemn any but hardline traditionalists. Conclusion: hot dog =/= sandwich.
