Hello fellow Alesians,
As we move forward in this grand and wonderful adventure together, I wanted to make a clear distinction early on about regional administrative policies. The nature of this game is such that there is often a concerning blurring of the lines between in-character and out-of-character actions. I want to be very, very clear that the administrative team is empowered to protect our community unilaterally. In doing so, we will attempt to be clear when the action is taking place OOC (an admin action) or an IC (President/executive).
For example, if someone is posting hate speech throughout the forums or on discord, they may face a ban from the admin team as an OOC action - this will be handled exclusively by the admin team.
However, a character that faces a temporary ban for breaking an RP regional law would be an IC action - these characters can utilize whatever judicial system that exists within the regional RP.
These distinctions are important in not only protecting our community but also trying to determining the appropriate points of contact when adjudicating these events.
Our commitment as an admin team is to maintain transparency when there might be confusion.
Thanks for your understanding.
~Vercingetorix.
